Court orders Abia Governor to vacate office
A Federal High Court sitting in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja has ordered the Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, to vacate office immediately.
The order which given today follows allegation that he submitted false information to his party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the party’s governorship primary in December 2014.
Justice Okon Abang in his ruling, ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC), to immediately issue a certificate of return to the complainant, Uche Ogah.
