Buhari resumes duty, transmits letter to N’Assembly

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday resumed duty as the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
This was after 54 days after he proceeded on vacation in London.
The president’s resumption was announced in a statement by his Special Adviser, Media, Mr. Femi Adesina.
Adesina said Buhari has fully resumed work after formally complying with Section 145 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), which authorises him to transmit a letter of resumption to the National Assembly whenever he proceeds on vacation before he can assume duties.
