Investors gain N12bn as market rises by 1.05%

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All -Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 1.05 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at -4.99 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 25,533.82 against the previous close of 25,267.68 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦8.835 trillion against previous close of ₦8.743 trillion.
Volume traded decreased by 54.38 per cent from 771.659 million to 352.001 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 6.20 per cent from ₦2.615 billion to ₦2.453 billion in 2,438 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 305.16 million shares exchanged for ₦1.2 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 24.645 million shares traded for ₦0.274 billion, Conglomerates, Industrial Goods, Oil And Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Continsure, Staco, Zenithbank, Fidelitybk and FCMB were the most active stocks by volume. Airservice, Cadbury, Continsure, Unilever and Afriprud emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while CCNN, Jaizbank, AIICO, Fidson and UACN topped the losers chart.
