Market closes the week with 0.07% decline on Friday

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization decreased by 0.07 per cent while the year-to-date return stood at -5.05 per cent as investors in equities on the bourse closed the last trading day of the week with N6 billion loss.
The All-Share Index closed at 25,516.34 against the previous close of 25,533.82 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦8.829 trillion against previous close of ₦8.835 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 68.71 percent from 352.001 million to 593.869 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 3742.77% from ₦2.453 billion to ₦94.264 billion in 3,159 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 344.594 million shares exchanged for ₦1.548 billion. Oil and Gas came next with 223.795 million shares traded for ₦92.316 billion,
Conglomerates, Consumer Goods, Healthcare sectors followed in that order on the activity chart
Mobil, Staco, Zenithbank, Fidelitybk and Diamondbnk were the most active stocks by volume. Wapco, Honyflour, Dangsugar, Betaglas and Eterna emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Maybaker, Livestock, Unitybnk, Uac-Prop and Glaxosmith topped the losers chart.
