Nigerian bourse up by 0.26% as investors gain N24bn

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.26 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at -2.38 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 26,235.63 against the previous close of 26,166.80 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦9.069 trillion against previous close of ₦9.045 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 73.22 per cent from 255.648 million to 442.832 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 20.74 per cent from ₦2.453 billion to ₦2.961 billion in 4,220 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 260.923 million shares exchanged for ₦1.709 billion. Oil And Gas came next with 80.505 million shares traded for ₦0.543 billion, Services, Consumer Goods, Conglomerates sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Oando, Zenithbank, Medviewair, FBNH and Wapic were the most active stocks by volume. Airservice, NAHCO, Fidson, Custodyins and Oando emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Champion, Medviewair, Sterlnbank, Stanbic and UBA topped the losers chart.
