Stock market continues bullish run as Index rises by 0.76%

The Nigerian Stock Exchange has continued its rally on Wednesday as the market All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.76 per cent while the year-to-date return stood at 9.76 per cent even as investors gained N77 billion in the day trading activities.
The All Share Index closed at 29,498.31 against the previous close of 29,276.59 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦10.198 trillion against previous close of ₦10.121 trillion. Volume traded decreased by 58.78% from 832.518 million to 343.192 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 56.02% from ₦7.591 billion to ₦3.339 billion in 4,905 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 274.638 million shares exchanged for ₦2.154 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 29.013 million shares traded for ₦0.615 billion, Conglomerates, Oil And Gas, Services sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
FBNH, Diamondbnk, Fidelitybk, UBA and Zenithbank were the most active stocks by volume. UAC-PROP, Mansard, Lawunion, Champion and Custodyins emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while NEM, Guaranty, Seplat, 7Up and Oando topped the losers chart.
