Nigerian bourse rises by 1.67% as investors gain N103bn

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 1.67 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at 21.52 per cent as investors gained N103 billion in the first trading day of the week.
The All Share Index closed at 32,657.30 against the previous close of 32,122.14 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦11.293 trillion against previous close of ₦11.108 trillion. Volume traded decreased by 7.50 per cent from 417.568 million to 386.238 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 1.75 per cent from ₦3.247 billion to ₦3.303 billion in 4,372 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 300.213 million shares exchanged for ₦2.397 billion. Conglomerates came next with 38.491 million shares traded for ₦0.074 billion, Oil And Gas, Consumer Goods, Construction/Real Estate sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
UBA, Wemabank, Transcorp, Guaranty and FCMB were the most active stocks by volume. UBA, NEM, Diamondbnk, Fidelitybk and FO emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Okomuoil, Jberger, Unilever, NASCON and UAC-PROP topped the losers chart.
