Nigerian bourse adds N36bn as index rises by 0.32%

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization for the second time in the week increased by 0.32 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at 20.78 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 32,459.17 against the previous close of 32,354.78 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦11.187 trillion against previous close of ₦11.151 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 26.03 per cent from 168.513 million to 212.384 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 31.79 per cent from ₦3.627 billion to ₦2.474 billion in 3,217 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 162.297 million shares exchanged for ₦1.855 billion. Conglomerates came next with 18.617 million shares traded for ₦0.028 billion, Consumer Goods, Oil And Gas, Construction/Real Estate sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Zenithbank, Transcorp, Sterlnbank, FBNH and Champion were the most active stocks by volume. Transcorp, Continsure, Fidson, UACN and Dangsugar emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Conoil, Maybaker, PZ, Skyebank and Linkassure topped the losers chart.
