Nigerian bourse records 0.38% appreciation

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.38 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at 41.93 per cent.
The All Share Index closed at 38,144.02 against the previous close of 37,999.56 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦13.147 trillion against previous close of ₦13.097 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 50.61 per cent from 218.217 million to 328.654 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 20.32 per cent from ₦5.071 billion to ₦6.102 billion in 4,983 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 252.456 million shares exchanged for ₦1.83 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 51.391 million shares traded for ₦4.056 billion, Conglomerates, Services, Oil and Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Jaizbank, FCMB, FBNH, Dangflour and Access were the most active stocks by volume. Guinness, Jaizbank, NAHCO, Dangflour and Vitafoam emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Champion, Livestock, Conoil, Continsure and Eterna topped the losers chart.
