Market rises by 0.59% on Thursday as investors gain N73bn

For the first time this week, The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.59 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at 35.13 per cent.
The All Share Index closed at 36,316.58 against the previous close of 36,102.38 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦12.517 trillion against previous close of ₦12.444 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 0.16 per cent from 224.774 million to 225.141 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 7.64 per cent from ₦5.090 billion to ₦5.479 billion in 5,110 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 183.071 million shares exchanged for ₦2.221 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 18.688 million shares traded for ₦2.263 billion, Industrial Goods, Services, Oil And Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Custodyins, Zenithbank, Guaranty, FBNH and FCMB were the most active stocks by volume. Fidson, Maybaker, Flourmill, Livestock and Continsure emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Eterna, Mobil, NAHCO, CCNN and Cutix topped the losers chart.
