NSE index rises 0.19% Friday as investors gain N24bn

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.19 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at 36.36 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 36,646.46 against the previous close of 36,575.86 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦12.631 trillion against previous close of ₦12.607 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 77.38 per cent from 238.165 million to 422.449 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 40.84 per cent from ₦5.492 billion to ₦3.249 billion in 3,618 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 366.375 million shares exchanged for ₦1.564 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 25.07 million shares traded for ₦0.998 billion, Services, Industrial Goods, Conglomerates sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Unitykap, Access, Fidelitybk, Guaranty and Diamondbnk were the most active stocks by volume. Intbrew, Flourmill, Dangsugar, Medviewair and Stanbic emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Learnafrca, Mobil, NAHCO, Vitafoam and Linkassure topped the losers chart.
