Diamond, Access banks lead most active stocks on Friday

Diamondbnk, Access,Transcorp, Fcmband, Zenithbank were the most active stocks by volume on The Nigerian Stock Exchange on Friday, while Champion, Diamondbnk, NEM, Redstarex and Intbrew emerged the highest price gainers on the chart even as CCNN, UPL, FO, Firstalum and Unitybnk topped the losers chart.
The market All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.32 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at 37.11 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 36,848.17 against the previous close of 36,732.24 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦ 12.684 trillion against previous close of ₦12.644 trillion.
Volume traded decreased by 64.02 per cent from 443.675 million to159.613 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 29.38 per cent from ₦3.176 billion to ₦2.243 billion in 3,243 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 127.339 million shares exchanged for ₦1.211 billion. Conglomerates came next with15.252 million shares traded for ₦0.026 billion, Consumer Goods, Services, Industrial Goods sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
