Investors on NSE gain N24bn on Friday as Index up 0.19%

 

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.19 per cent while the Year-to-Date return stood at 38.12 per cent.

The All-Share Index closed at 37,120.28 against the previous close of 37,051.54 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦12.847 trillion against previous close of ₦12.823 trillion.

Volume traded decreased by 0.27 per cent from 175.752 million to 175.276 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 24.89 per cent from ₦3.523 billion to ₦2.646 billion in 3,235 deals.

The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 135.224 million shares exchanged for ₦1.486 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 20.954 million shares traded for ₦1.074 billion, Services, Conglomerates, Healthcare sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.

Zenithbank, FBNH, Fidelitybk, FCMB and Diamondbnk were the most active stocks by volume. Cadbury, FO, Learnafrca, Npfmcrfbk and Livestock emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Champion, Neimeth, Fidson, CCNN and Linkassure topped the losers chart.
