Fani-Kayode storms EFCC office over N840m saga

Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has gone to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) office in Abuja to explained how he got  N840 million he  allegedly  received a few days to the presidential election in 2015.

He was spotted by our Correspondent at about 9.30am at the EFCC office on Monday in blue native attire.

Fani-Kayode, who narrowly escaped arrest last Friday when about 10 EFCC operatives stormed his Maitama home in Abuja is to explain why he collected the money and what it was used for.

He was, on Friday morning, formerly invited by the commission to appear at its headquarters on Monday, May 9, for questioning over allegations of money laundering and fraud.

But, shortly after the news of the invitation became public, he raised the alarm that officials of EFCC were surrounding his home, a development the EFCC confirmed.
