Nigerian Breweries led the losers on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Tuesday as it was marked down by N3.03 to close at N128.00 from the value of N131.03 with which it started the day transaction.
A total of 170.69 shares valued at N2.43 billion was recorded in today’s transaction in 3,153.00 The Market capitalisation closed at N9.28 trillion as against N9.31 trillion on Monday even as the Market All-share Index closed at 27,034.05 as against 27,103.38 it closed on Monday.
Investors in equities on the Exchange traded 152.33 million shares valued N2.3 billion in 3,406 deals even as market capitalisation stood at N9.31 trillion and the All-Share Index of the Exchange closing at basis points
GLAXOSMITH followed Nigerian Breweries on the losers’ chart as it dropped N1.77 to close at N16.44. CADBURY which opened the day trading at N18.00 per share ended with N17.35 as it was marked down by N0.65 par share while GUARANTY closed at N18.51 from N19.01 as it shed N0.5 per share. ETI which was marked down by N0.35 closed the day N17.2 from N17.55 it opened with.
GUARANTY traded the highest volume os shares for the day s investors exchange its 33.6 million shares valued N631.0 million; FCMB traded 18.4 at N28. 8million; NEM accounted for 14.7 million shares with value attached of N15.4 million; UBA followed with 13.2 million shares exchanged by investors in N57.2 million and ACCESS with 12.5 million shares at N72.2 million.
