A total of 275.364 million shares were exchanged by investors in 4,865 deals with the attached value of N3.442 billion. Market capitalisation closed the day at N9.896 trillion while the market All-Share Index closed at 28,813.51 as against N9.910 trillion and 28,854.98 respectively on Friday, leaving investors to share a loss of N14 billion.
The price gainers for the day were led by NESTLE N2.1 and from the value of N850.00 per share it came to the day trading, it closed at N852.1; GUINNESS, from the opening value of N99.99, it closed at N101 having added N1.01; GUARANTY made a gain of N1.00 and from N23.00it began the day trading activities it closed at N24.00; OKOMUOIL closed at N31.5 from its opening value of N31.02 as it added N0.48 while ZENITHBANK which added N0.42 to its opening price of N15.45 left the market at N15.87 per share.
On the other hand, WAPCO led the price decliners as its opening value of N63.65 came down to N60.45 as it was marked down by N3.2 per share; STANBIC closed at N15.77 from its opening value of N16.6 as it shed N0.83; INTBREW recorded a loss of N0.8 to close at N19.00 from the value of N19.8 it came in. OANDO recorded a loss of N0.6 to close at N7.45 from N8.05 it started the day trading while PZ which opened the market activities at N23 closed at N22.7 as it recorded a loss of N0.3
The most traded stock of the day was GUARANTY with 45.650 million shares with a value attached of N1.064 billion; FBNH traded 32.286 million shares valued at N117.011 million; FCMB traded 21.031 million shares worth N27.461 million; UBA traded 19.891 million shares N87.163 million while ACCESS traded 19.736 million shares valued at N105. 975 million.
