Market up 0.12% as investors gain N11bn

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.12 per cent on Tuesday as the Year-to-Date return stood at -4.85 per cent. Investors on the local bourse managed a gain of N11 billion.

The All Share Index closed at 27,252.48 against the previous close of 27,220.09 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦9.361 trillion against previous close of ₦9.350 trillion.

Volume traded decreased by 14.69 per cent from 219.898 million to 187.602 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 30.08 per cent from ₦1.878 billion to ₦1.313 billion in 3,065 deals.

The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 117.514 million shares exchanged for ₦0.343 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 38.043 million shares traded for ₦0.817 billion, Conglomerates, Oil And Gas, ICT sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.

Dunlop, Sterlnbank, Transcorp, FCMB and UNIC were the most active stocks by volume. Eterna, Okomuoil, Redstarex, Unitybnk and Learnafrca emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while UAC-PROP, UBN, Oando, Intbrew and Sterlnbank topped the losers chart.
