Market closes the week at 0.08% up

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.08 per cent, while the Year-to-Date return stood at -2.42 per cent.

The All-Share Index closed at 26,223.54 against the previous close of 26,201.60 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦ 9.023 trillion against previous close of ₦ 9.015 trillion.

Volume traded increased by 3.42 per cent from 196.470 million to 203.187 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 22.52 per cent from ₦2.611 billion to  ₦2.023 billion in 2,804 deals.

The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 138.343 million shares exchanged for ₦0.769 billion.

Oil And Gas came next with 22.417 million shares traded for ₦0.221 billion, Agriculture, Consumer Goods, Conglomerates sectors followed in that order on the activity chart. Ucap, Oando, Fbnh and  Fidelitybk were the most active stocks by volume.

7Up, Uac-Prop, Guinness, Cutix and Mobil emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Wemabank, Total, Diamondbnk, Champion and Fbnh topped the losers chart.
