Equities market opens the week 0.38% down

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSEASI) and the Market Capitalization opened the week trading activities by as twin market indicators decreased by 0.38 per cent, while the Year-to-Date return stood at-6.07 per cent.

The All-Share Index closed at 25,244.29 against the previous close of 25,340.02 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦8.737 trillion against previous close of ₦8.770 trillion.

Volume traded decreased by 29.65 per cent from 201.727million to141.917million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 46.59 per cent from ₦2.587 billion to ₦1.382 billion in 2,386 deals.

The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 102.221 million shares exchanged for ₦0.891 billion. ICT came next with 20.437 million shares traded for ₦0.102billion, Conglomerates, Consumer Goods, Agriculture sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.

Guaranty, Uba, Etranzact, Fidelitybk and Fbnh were the most active stocks by volume.

Betaglas, Pz, Uac-Prop, Airservice and Caverton emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Nascon, Nb, Transcorp, Ccnn and Eterna topped the losers chart.
