Market grows volume by 200.60%i Friday trading

Volume of shares traded on the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Friday increased by 200.60 per cent from 115.111 million the previous day to 346.027 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 64.61 per cent from ₦1.416 billion to ₦2.330 billion in 2,613 deals.
The market All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization decreased by 0.23 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at -5.28 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 25,454.93 against the previous close of 25,514.03 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦8.807 trillion against previous close of ₦8.827 trillion.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 296.449 million shares exchanged for ₦1.021 billion.
Consumer Goods came next with 32.823 million shares traded for ₦0.713 billion, Conglomerates, Services, Oil And Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Continsure, Intbrew, Stanbic, Access and Fbnh were the most active stocks by volume. Livestock, Access, Transcorp, Eterna and Fcmb emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while 7Up, Uac-Prop, Diamondbnk, Continsure and Custodyins topped the losers chart.
