Nigerian bourse up by 0.80% as investors gain N65bn

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.80 per cent , while the Year-to-Date return stood at -3.38 on Tuesday as investors recorded a gain of N63 billion .
The Al- Share Index closed at 25,965.18 against the previous close of 25,758.51 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦8.975 trillion against previous close of ₦8.913 trillion. Volume traded decreased by 47.87 per cent from 366.467 million to 191.024 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 25.95 per cent from ₦2.876 billion to ₦2.130 billion in 3,392 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 154.108 million shares exchanged for ₦1.538 billion. Conglomerates came next with 19.56 million shares traded for ₦0.034 billion, Oil And Gas, Consumer Goods, Agriculture sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Zenithbank, Guaranty, Wapic, Transcorp and Diamondbnk were the most active stocks by volume. Fidson, Npfmcrfbk, FBNH, Presco and Eterna emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while UACN, Jaizbank, FO, AIICO and FCMB topped the losers chart.
