Bears stop bulls’ dominance as investors lose N79bn Friday

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization decreased by 0.81 per cent while the year-to-date return stood at 4.90 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 28,192.46 against the previous close of 28,423.70 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦9.746 trillion against previous close of ₦9.825 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 32.72 per cent from 801.075 million to 1063.159 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 17.51 per cent from ₦7.822 billion to ₦9.191 billion in 5,342 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 982.295 million shares exchanged for ₦7.078 billion. Conglomerates came next with 31.43 million shares traded for ₦0.067 billion, Consumer Goods, Oil And Gas, Industrial Goods sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
FBNH, Zenithbank, Guaranty, Diamondbnk and FCMB were the most active stocks by volume. PZ, Unitybnk, Custodyins, Medviewair and Mansard emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Oando, Fidson, NAHCO, NEM and Afriprud topped the losers chart.
