Nigerian bourse continues upward swing as investors gain N70bn

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization recorded further appreciation on Thursday increasing by 0.72 per, while the year-to-date return stood at 4.57 per cent even as investors gained N70 billion.
The All Share Index closed at 28,101.63 against the previous close of 27,900.44 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦9.715 trillion against previous close of ₦9.645 trillion.
Volume traded decreased by 4.93 per cent from 371.456 million to 353.144 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 162.48 per cent from ₦3.491 billion to ₦9.162 billion in 4,034 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 249.185 million shares exchanged for ₦2.405 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 34.805 million shares traded for ₦2.461 billion, Conglomerates, Oil And Gas, Healthcare sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Zenithbank, FBNH, Transcorp, UBA and Diamondbnk were the most active stocks by volume. Oando, NAHCO, UBA, Zenithbank and Portpaint emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Mobil, Transexpr, Cileasing, CCNN and Jaizbank topped the losers chart.
