Nigerian bourse records modest appreciation of 0.05%
The Nigerian Stock Exchange recorded a modest appreciation on Tuesday trading as the All-Share Index ( ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.05 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at 4.53 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 28,093.30 against the previous close of 28,078.30 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦9.712 trillion against previous close of ₦9.707 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 2.09 per cent from 208.337 million to 212.690 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 41.67 per cent from ₦3.739 billion to ₦2.181 billion in 3,908 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 161.207 million shares exchanged for ₦1.069 billion. Oil And Gas came next with 12.107 million shares traded for ₦0.694 billion, Construction/Real Estate, Conglomerates, Consumer Goods sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
FBNH, Diamondbnk, Fidelitybk, Guaranty and Zenithbank were the most active stocks by volume. UAC-PROP, Fidson, Vitafoam, Honyflour and Airservice emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Dangflour, Learnafrca, CCNN, Diamondbnk and Cileasing topped the losers chart.
