Nigerian bourse sustains positive rally throughout the week

The Nigerian Stock Exchange maintained positive rally throughout this week as the market All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.96 per cent on Monday, while the Year-to-Date return rose to 26.59 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 34,020.37 against the previous close of 33,695.83 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦11.725 trillion against previous close of ₦11.613 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 97.56 per cent from 191.430 million to 378.188 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 134.31 per cent from ₦2.182 billion to ₦5.112 billion in 4,516 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 330.882 million shares exchanged for ₦3.641 billion. Conglomerates came next with 20.103 million shares traded for ₦0.031 billion, Consumer Goods, Industrial Goods, Oil And Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Access, Zenithbank, UBA, Guaranty and Skyebank were the most active stocks by volume. Wapco, Skyebank, Vitafoam, Zenithbank and PZ emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Firstalum, Berger, Npfmcrfbk, Meyer and Unitybnk topped the losers chart.
