Investors on Nigerian bourse gain N33bn as market rises by 0.25%

Investors on The Nigerian Stock Exchange gained N33 billion on Friday as the market All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.25 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at 42.14 per cent.
The AllShare Index closed at 38,198.60 against the previous close of 38,102.85 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦13.166 trillion against previous close of ₦13.133 trillion.
Volume traded decreased by 2.49 per cent from 362.671 million to 353.645 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 12.58 per cent from ₦5.597 billion to ₦6.301 billion in 4,079 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 313.552 million shares exchanged for ₦5.057 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 21.642 million shares traded for ₦0.943 billion, Conglomerates, Services, Oil And Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Guaranty, UBA, Zenithbank, Access and Fidelitybk were the most active stocks by volume. Unilever, Wapco, Oando, Custodyins and UBA emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Cileasing, Honyflour, Conoil, Unitybnk and Learnafrca topped the losers chart.
