Nigerian bourse down 0.90% on Monday as investors record N113bn loss
The Nigerian bourse opened the week in the negative territory as the market All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization decreased by 0.90 per cent while the year-to-date return stood at 35.14 per cent as the fortune of investors on the Exchange decreased by N113 billion on Monday.
The All-Share Index closed at 36,317.31 against the previous close of 36,646.46 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦12.518 trillion against previous close of ₦12.631 trillion.
Volume traded decreased by 17.60% from 422.449 million to 348.113 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 8.36% from ₦3.249 billion to ₦2.977 billion in 3,276 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 291.611 million shares exchanged for ₦1.639 billion. Oil And Gas came next with 28.541 million shares traded for ₦0.253 billion, Consumer Goods, Conglomerates, Services sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Custodyins, Oando, Access, Fidelitybk and Sterlnbank were the most active stocks by volume. Total, Airservice, Cutix, Vitafoam and Continsure emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Transexpr, Mobil, Conoil, Champion and Livestock topped the losers chart.
