Investors on NSE gain N188bn on Friday as Index rises by 1.53%
Investors on the Nigerian Stock Exchange closed the week trading on Friday with a gain of N188 billion as the All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 1.53 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at 35.15 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 36,320.93 against the previous close of 35,773.98 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦12.502 trillion against previous close of ₦12.314 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 15.63 per cent from 317.441 million to 367.068 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 31.19 per cent from ₦2.853 billion to ₦3.743 billion in 3,773 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 330.622 million shares exchanged for ₦3.232 billion. Conglomerates came next with 9.245 million shares traded for ₦0.016 billion, Consumer Goods, Services, Agriculture sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Diamondbnk, FBNH, Zenithbank, Access and UBA were the most active stocks by volume. Presco, Nahco, Wapco, FBNH and Okomuoil emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while MRS, Cutix, CCNN, Oando and Unitybnk topped the losers chart.
