Nigerian bourse down 0.15% as investors lose N19bn

Trading activities on the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Tuesday reverted to negative territory as the All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization decreased by 0.15 per cent while the year-to-date return stood at 36.85 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 36,776.60 against the previous close of 36,831.93 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦12.659 trillion against previous close of ₦12.678 trillion as investors recorded N19 billion loss.
Volume traded increased by 34.72 per cent from 262.167 million to 353.195 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 8.65 per cent from ₦2.996 billion to ₦3.255 billion in 4,201 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 309.592 million shares exchanged for ₦1.287 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 23.204 million shares traded for ₦1.531 billion, Services, Conglomerates, Industrial Goods sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Diamondbnk, Fidelitybk, FCMB, Guaranty and Zenithbank were the most active stocks by volume. CCNN, Mansard, Maybaker, NNFM and Jaizbank emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Cileasing, Paintcom, Diamondbnk, Lawunion and Wapco topped the losers chart.
