Bayelsa Commissioner hosts NIPR Exco, charts way forward for practitioners

Bayelsa State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Daniel Iworiso-Markson and renowned Public Relations practitioner, has asked members of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) in the state to raise their act in order to attract desired patronage.

According to him, as public relations practitioners, NIPR must be more visible through regular activities and public interest programmes.

Iworiso Markson gave the advice during a courtesy call on him by members of the NIPR, Bayelsa State Chapter.

He also charged them to voice their views on the developmental strides of the present administration, which he described as a watershed in the history of the state.

He urged NIPR as a credible voice not to shy away from telling the success story of restoration Government on-going in the state.

As a senior member of the institute, Iworiso-Markson said he will be working with the leadership of the body to ensure that the organization claim its pride of place.

Earlier, the Chairman of the State Chapter of NIPR, Prince Sherif Hussain Enebi had congratulated the commissioner for the professional way he has performed his responsibilities since his foray into the public service.

Enebi acknowledged the recognition that the institute had received from the state government since the appointment of Mr. Iworiso Markson and called for closer ties between the state Ministry of Information and the NIPR for effective rebranding of the state.
