A leading governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, Engr Fatai Akinbade, has described the political doggedness and resilience of Chief Ebenezer Babatope as being part of the major plank upon which the nation’s democracy has been thriving.

Akinbade, a one-time Secretary to the Osun State Government, gave the commendation in his congratulatory message to Babatope on his 75th birthday anniversary.

According to him, the Ilesa born politician known to be a diehard disciple of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, has always pursued causes he believed in

“This as a matter of fact, stands him out among his peers. Chief Babatope’s contributions can never be wished away by tidal political waves or vagary of times because he has sowed worthy ideals that will always stand the test of times” noted the former SSG

Akinbade while imploring upcoming politicians to emulate Babatope’s deeds that had enlivened the country’s polity,prayed that the elder statesman would live long to further contribute to making the nation great.

Meanwhile, the gubernatorial hopeful has urged the people of the state to remain resolute in their resolve to vote out the All Peoples Congress (APC) led administration in the state in the coming state governorship election slated for September this year.
