Reps order IGP to apologise to Gov Ortom for Force PRO calling him ‘drowning man’
The House of Representatives on Wednesday ordered the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ibrahim Idris, to apologize to Governor Samuel Ortom over a derogatory comment by the Force spokesperson, Jimoh Moshood.
The legislative chambers gave the directive while debating a motion on the bills by herdsmen in Benue State.
Featuring on Channels television, Moshood had on Tuesday this week described Ortom as a “drowning man.”
The Force spokesperson made the remark while faulting some comments made by the governor, following crisis between Fulani herdsmen and farmers in the state.
