Osun 2018: Akinbade declares intention to submit letter Tuesday

 

In line with directive of the Osun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a former Secretary to the State Government, Engr. Fatai  Akinade Akinbade, has concluded plans to formally signify his intention of contesting in the election scheduled for September, this year.

The programme which was earlier slated for last Wednesday, had to be rescheduled to tomorrow, Tuesday, because of the National Chairman of PDP, Prince Uche Secondus who was on a visit to Ekiti State.

To this effect, according to the Akinbade Media Office, (AMO), the erstwhile SSG who had served as a Commissioner for four years and the State Chairman of the PDP that led the party to victory in 2003 governorship polls, will tomorrow, Tuesday, formally submit his Letter of Intent to the PDP Executive at the party Secretariat, BIKET Area, Osogbo.

The event slated for 10:00am, is in line with the directive of the party in the state that those wishing to contest the state governorship, should signify through a formal letter to the party.

The Akinbade train is expected to take off from his campaign office at Oke-fia, Opposite Government House Annexe through Ola-Iya Junction to Asubiaro – Oja-Oba – Station Road, and Ajegunle to PDP Secretariat at BIKET Area, Osogbo.

Meanwhile, Akinbade has received royal blessings from monarchs from Iwo Zone led by Oluwo of Iwo land, Oba Adewale Akanbi,Telu 1 and Agbowu of Ogbaagba,Oba Sikirulahi Akinropo,Olabiran || on his aspiration to govern the state

In the interim, the former SSG has urged his supporters to troop out enmasse but implored them to comport themselves to reflect his Philosophy of “No – Violence, No – Thuggery”.
