Patito’s Gang focuses on the epidemic of sexual violence

 

Anxiety deriving from the growing epidemic of sexual violence and homicides related to domestic abuse has attracted the focus of the panel of TV Series – Patito’s Gang in the episode to be aired on Saturday July 7; Monday July 9; and Wednesday July 11 from the various Channels TV platforms.

According to après statement by Rasheed Adegbenro, Senior Vice President, CVL [Centre for Values in Leadership], the episode which will feature Mrs. Chukwumah, long time activist and social entrepreneur on gender matters and Executive Director, Project Alert on Violence Against Women; Prof. Pat Utomi, Akin Fatunke and others, will point to the root causes of sexual violence, its devastating impact on the psyche of victims and the deficiencies in the implementation of laws on sexual violence.

Patito’s Gang which first aired more than twenty years ago has focused on themes of social, political and economic challenges through the years. In the next few weeks, it will feature episodes around sexual violence, mental health and suicide and on social medicine.

Adegbenro speaks further: “These and more are the thrust of conversation in the current edition of Patito’s Gang scheduled for broadcast on Channels Television Dstv network at 4:30pm on Saturday, July 7, 2018. Repeat broadcast is scheduled for Monday, July 9 at 8:30pm on the domestic service of Channels Television; and on Wednesday, July 11 at 6:00pm on London service of Channels Television”.
