NAF, CBN, Niger State bag 2019 African PR awards

The Nigerian Airforce (NAF), Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and Niger State government have been named among the recipients of 2019 African Public Relations Awards which recognized Superior Achievement in Branding Reputation and Engagement (SABRE).

The SABRE awards hosted by the Holmes Report in collaboration with the African Public Relations Association (APRA) celebrate PR campaigns that demonstrate the highest levels of creativity, integrity, and effectiveness.

The PR campaigns of the three Nigeria’s public institutions were undertaken in partnership with a multi-award-winning PR agency, Image Merchants Promotion Limited (IMPR), the Publishers of PRNigeria and Economic Confidential.

The award ceremony will take place next month in Kigali, Rwanda during the annual conference APRA Conference.

The Nigerian Airforce is a recipient of the Certificate of Excellence in Public Sector Category for managing a counter-narrative on the war on terror campaign in boosting the morale of the troops, enhancing citizens’ confidence and weakening the fighting spirit of the terrorists.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) will be honoured with the Certificate of Excellence West-African Category for its timely and effective response to media reports over alleged fire incident in the Headquarters building of the monetary institution in Abuja during a public holiday.

The Forum of Spokespersons of Critical Institutions in Niger State (FOSCIN) will garner a Certificate of Excellence in Association Category for promoting a healthy relationship between security agencies and the media in ensuring smooth communication, curbing inter-agency rivalry and tackling security challenges.
