Sanwo-Olu mourns as Oba Oniru dies
The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has commiserated with the family of Oba Idowu Oniru, the Oniru of Iru, who died on Monday.
Condoling the royal family, Sanwo-Olu took to his official Twitter handle to tweet a condolence message.
He said, “On behalf of the government and people of Lagos, I commiserate with the Oniru Royal Family on the transition of HRH Oba Idowu Oniru who joined his forebears.”
Sanwo-Olu added that the late traditional ruler’s “service to the state and country at large will remain his enduring legacy.”
The late Oniru is one of the popular traditional rulers in Lagos State.
He is the father of popular media personality, Tolu Oniru-Demuren, aka Toolz.
