BREAKING: Two more bodies recovered from Lagos explosion site

  • Number of casualties now 17

Emergency management officials disclosed that two more bodies have been recovered  as emergency operations continue at the scene of the Abule-Ado explosion in Amuwo Odofin Local Government area of Lagos State.

The latest discovery would bring the number of recovered bodies to 17.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Government has announced its plan to set up a N2 billion relief fund for victims of Abule Ado fire explosion.

The state governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu, made this known in a press conference on going at the state’s secretariat on Monday.

The fire incident killed at least 15 people and rendered many persons homeless

It was claimed that the explosion occurred after a truck hit gas cylinders in the area.
