Explosion: Lagos sets up N2bn relief fund for victims
The Lagos State Government has announced its plan to set up a N2 billion relief fund for victims of Abule Ado fire explosion.
The state governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu, made this known in a press conference on going at the state’s secretariat on Monday.
The fire incident killed at least 15 people and rendered many persons homeless
It was claimed that the explosion occurred after a truck hit gas cylinders in the area.
The Lagos State Emergency Authority (LASEMA); the Lagos Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA); the State Safety Commission; the Lagos State Fire Service; the Lagos State Ambulance Services (LASAMBUS), as well as the Nigerian Civil Defence (NSCDC), the Nigerian Navy and the military were among the state and federal agencies at the scene of the incident to ensure the safety of residents.
