Wenger hasn’t held back in his criticism over the Super League and its collapse

Arsene Wenger has been very vocal in his criticism of the Super League.

And as news emerges of its collapse, the legendary Frenchman has doubled down on his stance.

He told BeIN Sports: “I’m not surprised it didn’t last. I never believed from the start it would happen.

“It ignored the basic principles of sporting merit. If you ignore that, you kill the domestic leagues, so fans would never accept that.”
