LG boss extols virtues of Akran of Badagry at 85

The Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Mr Olusegun Onilude, says the Akran of Badagry’s simple and modest lifestyle coupled with an ambitious and grand vision have proven to be great recipe to Badagry development.

Onilude stated this in a congratulatory message to the Akran of Badagry, Aholu Menu Toyi 1 on his 85th birthday anniversary.

According to him, this special day gives us an opportunity to personally thank you for the contributions you have made to the development, peace and tranquility we enjoy in the Badagry corridor of Lagos State.

“As Badagry traditional ruler, you have done much to strengthen the bond of coexistence between Badagry indigenes and other tribesmen and women living and doing business in the area, hence, placing us on the pathway to a better future.

“Your dedication and pragmatism with which you have so far piloted this sacred stool in such a progressive direction that currently showcasing Badagry town as a center of peace and home of hospitality is worth emulating.

“Other traditional leaders in Nigeria should therefore emulate this good example especially at this critical period of security challenges in our dear country,” he said.

The chairman said that it was with great joy that he joined the entire Ogu race worldwide, and the good people of Badagry to extend best wishes to the revered king

“May God continue to bless you, your royal family, the kingdom of Badagry and the entire Ogu race in Nigeria under your indefatigable leadership.

“Hawee!!! I once again rejoice with you on this great occasion of your 85th birthday and pray that God grants you more years to live in good health and prosperity,” Onilude prayed.
