Lawyer cautions youths against social media addiction
An Ilorin based legal practitioner, Mr Ahmed Taiwo, has advised youths to be focused and not spend too much time on the social media.
Taiwo, who gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ilorin on Saturday, said youths were gradually losing focus owing to social media addiction.
According to him, a good number of youths spend hours on their phones doing things that add little or no value to them.
“Instead of spending their time doing reasonable things, they hang on to their phones and computer sets making friends and following super stars on social media.
“Youths must learn to spend their time wisely, they need to plan for their future.
“Social media could be distracting; the youth must stop the addiction.
“There are many opportunities on social media, but many youths are not using it positively, ” he said.
The lawyer also advised the youths to be disciplined and avoid things that would undermine their future.
