NCC unveils A2P Licensing Framework, announces virtual stakeholders’ forum

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has officially published its Application-To-Person (A2P) Licensing Framework on its corporate website.
This development, The Reporters gathered,marks another step in its regulatory oversight of the telecom sector.
A virtual stakeholders’ forum to discuss the framework has been scheduled for Friday, December 20, 2024.
In a public notice, Mr. Reuben Muoka, Director of Public Affairs (DPA) at the NCC, emphasized the Commission’s commitment to upholding the Nigerian Communications Act (NCA) 2003.
He encouraged industry stakeholders to review the framework, which can be accessed at www.ncc.gov.ng, and provide feedback by Thursday, December 19, 2024.
“The Nigerian Communications Commission remains dedicated to ensuring compliance with the provisions of the NCA 2003.
“The publication of the A2P Licensing Framework is part of our efforts to foster transparency and stakeholder engagement,” said Muoka.
The Commission urged stakeholders to submit their comments and contributions to aadaba@ncc.gov.ng, copying msyusuf@ncc.gov.ng.
The virtual forum, set to provide further clarity and gather stakeholder input, demonstrates the NCC’s proactive approach to refining the regulatory landscape for A2P services in Nigeria.
