LCCI holds dialogue on Nigeria international trade relations

The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI),  is set to hold a Dialogue Session on Nigeria’s International Trade Relations aimed at examining the current status of the nation’s trade policies in line with the developments in the global economy.

The dialogue session, according to LCCI, is scheduled to hold on Thursday, 16th June, 2016 at Commerce House, 1, Idowu Taylor Street, Victoria Island, Lagos by 10am.

Muda Yusuf, Director General of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) said: “In a globalized world as ours, no nation can truly survive in isolation. As the largest economy in Africa, Nigeria’s international trade relations has far reaching implications not just for the continent but other parts of the world as well”

Yusuf further stressed: “This platform will enable stakeholders in the international trade process to deliberate on trade policies of government, their strength and weakness, multilateral and bilateral trade agreement, ECOWAS trade protocols, how they affect the nation’s international trade relations with other economies, either positively and adversely, and make recommendations to policy makers appropriately”

He emphasized that Seasoned Professionals, Leaders of Businesses in the Private Sector, Members of the Diplomatic Corps and top Public Sector Officials will be available to dialogue with participants at the event. There would also be presentations by the European Union, Canadian High Commission and the United States Consulate on how Nigeria can access international trade opportunities.
