Nigerian bourse closes Friday 0.46% down

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization decreased by 0.46 per cent on the last trading day of the week, while the year-to-date return stood at 23.23 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 33,117.48 against the previous close of 33,269.84 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦11.452 trillion against previous close of ₦11.505 trillion.
Volume traded decreased by 21.26 per cent from 439.229 million to 345.860 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 30.33 per cent from ₦4.806 billion to ₦3.348 billion in 4,797 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 247.858 million shares exchanged for ₦1.428 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 30.191 million shares traded for ₦0.634 billion, Conglomerates, Oil And Gas, Industrial Goods sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Diamondbnk, Access, Nigerins, Transcorp and UBA were the most active stocks by volume. Eterna, Champion, ETI, Fidson and Jaizbank emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Unilever, Maybaker, Unitybnk, UBA and Livestock topped the losers chart.
