Nigerian Stock Market up 0.15% Wednesday as UBA emerges most active stock

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.15 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at 31.57 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 35,358.57 against the previous close of 35,306.09 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦12.171 trillion against previous close of ₦12.171 trillion.
Volume traded decreased by 72.56 per cent from 634.326 million to 174.069 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 96.99 per cent from ₦5.790 billion to ₦0.174 billion in 3,599 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 138.096 million shares exchanged for ₦1.812 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 15.912 million shares traded for ₦0.678 billion, Services, Conglomerates, Oil And Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
UBA, FBNH, Zenithbank, Access and Guaranty were the most active stocks by volume. Cileasing, Nascon, Vitafoam, UAC-Prop and Caverton emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while MRS, Continsure, Learnafrca, Unitybnk and Dangsugar topped the losers chart.
