Aqdar World Summit kicks off Monday

TheAqdar World Summit, the leading event in the field of developing people and societies, will kick off Monday 26 November 2018.

Held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), the Summit will be organized by the Khalifa Student Empowerment Program “Aqdar” in partnership with the United Nations and a number of local and international entities, and in cooperation with Index Conferences and Exhibitions, a member of INDEX Holding.

According to a press statement by the organisers, “This year’s Summit will be held under the title “Role of Human Empowerment in Developing Stable Societies: Sustainable Development” during 26-28 November 2018. It is expected to attract more than 1,500 visitors and participants from the region and the world.

“The Summit will focus on special strategies and concepts related to developing societies in order to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that were launched by the United Nations,and will be discussed during the Summit’s sessions and workshops.

“The opening session will include a key remark for HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Cabinet Member and Minister of Tolerance. The Summit will include seven main sessions that will shed light on: Sheikh Zayed Strategies on Empowering People; Human Development for Economy Growth; Gender Parity for a Better Society; Sustainable Education for Flourishing Countries; Sustainable Goals and Successful Partnerships; Smart Infrastructure for Sustainable Nations; and Building Countries on Foundation of Justice and Peace.

“The Summit’s Agenda will include 38 papers, 4 Youth panelsorganized by the Ministry of Interior Youth Council,in addition to 38 speakers from a number of countries including UAE, China, India, Russia, Kuwait, Germany, Singapore, Jordan and Egypt. It will also feature 18 workshops that will discuss important topics.

“The Aqdar World Summit will witness an accompanying exhibition held in conjunction with the scientific sessions and workshops, and with the participation of more than 50 exhibitors”.
