Investors gain N91bn as bulls fight back

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.99 per cent, while the Year-to-Date return stood at -5.64 per cent as the market added  N91bn.

The All Share Index closed at 27,028.24 against the previous close of 26,763.86 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦9.283 trillion against previous close of ₦9.192 trillion.

Volume traded in the day decreased by 25.64 per cent from 670.804 million to 498.784 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 32.78 per cent from ₦2.057 billion to ₦2.732 billion in 4,765 deals.

The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 412.659 million shares exchanged for ₦1.795 billion. Conglomerates came next with 36.863 million shares traded for ₦0.046 billion, Consumer Goods, Agriculture, Oil And Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.

Diamondbnk, FBNH, Continsure, Zenithbank and Transcorp were the most active stocks by volume. FCMB, Eterna, Guaranty, UCAP and Oando emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while NCR, Unhomes, Unilever, Aglevent and Continsure topped the losers chart.
