Investors record N94bn gain as bull attempts to fight back

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 1.02 percent while the Year-to-Date return stood at -5.09 even as investors recorded value addition of N94 billion.

The All Share Index closed at 27,183.64 against the previous close of 26,910.23 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦9.336 trillion against previous close of ₦9.242 trillion.

Volume traded decreased by 5.70  per cent  from 352.297 million to 332.232 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 43.82 per cent from ₦3.847 billion to ₦2.161 billion in 4,167 deals.

The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 281.044 million shares exchanged for ₦0.987 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 19.887 million shares traded for ₦0.569 billion, Oil And Gas, Conglomerates, Services sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.

UBA, FCMB, Access, FBNH and Skyebank were the most active stocks by volume. Cadbury, UCAP, WAPCO, NB and Flourmill emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while CCNN, Mansard, Uniondicon, NAHCO and Eterna topped the losers chart.
