Investors gain N155bn as UBA, FCMB and GTB lead gainers

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 1.66 per cent translating to value addition of N155 billion for investors in equities on the Exchange, while the Year-to-Date return stood at -3.52 per cent.
The All Share Index closed at 27,634.48 against the previous close of 27,183.64 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦9.491 trillion against previous close of ₦9.336 trillion.
Volume traded decreased by 26.62 per cent from 332.232 million to 243.802 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 12.44 per cent from ₦2.161 billion to ₦2.430 billion in 3,942 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 192.35 million shares exchanged for ₦1.113 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 20.417 million shares traded for ₦0.994 billion, Conglomerates, Services, Oil And Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
UBA, Zenithbank, UCAP, FCMB and Transcorp were the most active stocks by volume. UBA, FCMB, Guaranty, Zenithbank and Skyebank emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while UPL, Transexpr, Vitafoam, Champion and Mansard topped the losers chart.
