
Investors on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) had a kind of respite on Friday as they collectively gained N26 billion, from N9.858 trillion on Thursday, the Market Capitalisation nudged up to N9.893 trillion on Friday even as the All-Share Index rose from 28,708.42 basis points on Thursday to 28,805.45 at the close of trade on Friday.
The market witnessed a total trade of 272. 528 million shares with a value attached of N1.700 billion in 4,078 deals.
The most appreciated stock of the day was FO which rose from N163.53 to close at N180.28 as it gained N16.75 per share. WAPCO added N5.04 to its opening per share price of N61.56 to close at N66.6; STANBIC , from the value N14.99, it closed at N15.5 as it rose by N0.51; FLOURMILL closed at N22.3 from its opening value of N21.99 as it added N0.31 while ZENITHBANK added N0.23 to its opening value of N16.15 to close at N16.38
On the flip side, MOBIL which came to the market at N169 closed at N161.55 as it was marked down by N7.45; GLAXOSMITH which began the day trading at N18.5 closed at N18.05 having recorded a loss of N0.45; PZ opened the trading at N21 and closed at N20.6 as it was marked down by N0.4; GUINNESS recorded a loss of N0.39 and form the opening value of N97.6 it ended the day transactions at N97.21 while UNILEVER closed at N33 from N33.39 as it recorded a loss of N0.39 per share.
The most traded share of the day was SKYEBANK with 61.305 million shares valued at N34.532 million. UCAP accounted for 43.552 million shares at N118.121 million; FBNH traded 39.932 million valued at N149.057 million. ACCESS traded 18.559 million shares valued at N101.210 million; GUARANTY traded 17.619 million shares at the value attached of N405.081 million.
